Day 1
Ouarzazate
From Ouarzazate to Agdz through the Tizi-NTiniffit pass, we follow the route of the caravans and move from an arid landscape to the lush green palm-grove of the Drâa valley. After Zagora, an ancient caravan town, we pass to Tamegroute. Then Méharée, bivouac in the dunes near M’hamid.
Day 2
Chegaga
Visit of the ancient village of M’Hamid. The track reaches the Chegaga dunes (300m). Varied and splendid landscapes (erg, reg, hamada, oasis) and wonderful sunsets can be enjoyed before bivouacking in a modern berber tent
Day 3
Iriki lake
From Chegaga after an early morning walk in the dunes we are back on the track crossing the dried up Iriki lake and reach the palm-grove of Foum Zguid. On the way back, we see Tazenakht ( berber carpets), then the oasis of Fint and visit the ksar of Aït Ben Haddou before ending the journey at Ouarzazate.
It is also possible to spend one extra night in the desert
