Casablanca 

Reception. Town visit : the ancient medina, the Hassan II mosque and the coast road.

Essaouira

From Casablanca we drive along the Atlantic coast and discover El Jadida, ancient Portuguese port, Safi, famous for its potteries and Essaouira, the ancient Mogador which attracts many artists.

 Marrakech

 Walk about in Essaouira : lively fishing harbour, medina with its narrow alleyways and its white and blue houses, skilled woodworkers and its windswept beach, one of the most beautiful in Morocco.

Journey back to Marrakech via Chichaoua. Visit on our way of a cooperative headed by women and producing argan oil.. 

Marrakech

« The red city ». Visit of the ancient medina : its surrounding walls, Majorelle gardens, the Koutoubia mosque, Saadian tombs, the Bahia palace, the Ben Youssef medersa, a walk on the lively Jemaa el Fna place not forgetting wandering round the souks...

Ouarzazate

From Marrakech we have access to the High-Atlas through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and a mountain road with luxuriant vegetation. We reach Telouet and  the Glaoui kasbah. Taking the tarred track of the Ounila we discover Berber villages on the mountainside then drive on to the ksar Ait Ben Haddou. A walk around the site warmly coloured late afternoon. Night is spent at the Fint oasis.

Dadès

Short visit of the town of Ouarzazate (the Taourirt kasbah). After the el Mansour dam and taking the Skoura track we discover beautiful kasbahs (Amridil) and take a walk in the palm-grove. Going through the Valley of the Roses (elKelaa des-M'Gouna) we have exceptional panoramic views of the High Atlas and discover Berber villages. After tea with nomads the impressive Bou-Thrarar track will take us to the Dadès gorges.

Merzouga

Short trek in the Dadès gorges and further along visit of the Tingherir palm-grove and a walk in the very impressive Todgha gorges. After Erfoud and following the road towards Merzouga we come to the erg Chebbi dunes, a magical experience. Late afternoon departure towards the bivouacking place riding dromedaries. A two-hour meharee. Evening meal and night under a   Berber tent. Magical!

  Fes 

After sunrise over the dune summits, we leave the bivouac riding dromedaries then carry on and reach Rissani well-known for its souk and its numerous fossils in the region. Then come into view the Ziz valley and its palm-grove, Rachidia further along, the gigantic cedars at Azrou, Ifrane known as « the little Switzerland » before arriving in Fès.

  Visit of Fès 

A day in Fès. Visit of the Mérinides tombs which dominates the town. Visit - with a local guide – of the ancient medina the best preserved in the Arab world. Walk about in the famous souks in the afternon.

 Chefchaouen 

Visit of the historic town of Meknès (medina, grand mosque and medersa) and of the imperial town (Moulay Ismael mansoleum and Agdal basin). After the ancient city of Volubilis the road takes us to the very beautiful blue city of Chefchaouen.

Asilah 

From Chefchaouen we discover the Rif road , we visit Tanger , the white town ( médina and port) then Asilah, lovely white port  and ocher ramparts .

Rabat

Coastal road to Rabat, visit of the ancient medina,  the Oudaïas kasbah and  the Hassan II tower.

 Return to Casablanca

Towns of departure for this circuit can be : Marrakech, Essaouira, Ouarzazate, Fès or Casablanca.

It is also possible to spend one extra night in the desert or to directly go from Meknès to Rabat.
