Day 1

Marrakech

From Marrakech, access to the High Atlas through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260 m). Starting at Telouet (kasbah of the Glaoui) we follow the spectacular road of Oulina valley and reach Aït-Ben Haddou just before Ouarzazate, our stopping-off town.

Day 2

Ouarzazate

From Ouarzazate, after the el Mansour dam, we start the day by driving along the track to Skoura and discovering beautiful kasbahs (Amridil). We take a walk in the palm-grove. On the road again, we drive through the Valley of Roses (elkelaa des-M’Gouna) enjoying breathtaking panoramic views of the High Atlas with picturesque Berber villages. On the Bou-thrarar track and after having had tea with nomads we take the road again towards the Dadès gorges.

Day 3

Merzouga

Road to Merzouga. On the way after the Tingherir palm-grove we take a walk in the very impressive Todgha gorges (defile of 300 m high cliffs). From Erfoud the road gives access to the wonderful site of the Erg Chebbi dunes, then it reaches Merzouga. Departure late afternoon riding dromedaries to bivouac in the dunes.

Day 4

Fès

Road to Fès. After watching the sunrise above the dune summits, we leave our bivouacking place riding on a dromedary towards Rissani, well-known for its souk and the great number of fossils found locally. Then we discover the Ziz valley and its palm-grove, Rachidia, the giant cedars of Azrou and Ifrane – also called the “little Switzerland” before reaching Fès.

Day 5

Visit of Fès

A one-day visit of Fès to discover the Merinide tombs dominating the town and also the ancient medina, the best preserved medina in the Arab world. A local guide will make your visit special and memorable. In the afternoon you will be able to have a leisurely walk round the famous souks.

Day 6

Meknès

Road to Meknès. A visit of the town of Meknès : the historic town (the medina, the mosque and medersa) and the imperial town (the Moulay Ismael mausoleum and Agdal basin).

Day 7

Ouzoud Cascades

Return to Marrakech. We will stop on our way at the Ouzoud waterfalls. Waters cascade from a height of a 100 metres and the lush vegetation gives exceptional beauty to the surroundings.

It is also possible to spend one extra night in the desert
